All School Announcements

Prek-5th Grade

• K-5 Christmas Concert, Tuesday, December 10th at 6:00 PM at Roncalli Middle/High School. 5th Grade Band students need to be there by 5:25. All other students should be seated by 5:45 with their classes. Kindergarten students will sit with their families for this concert.
• Preschool Christmas Concert, Thursday, December 12 at 6:30 PM at Roncalli Primary School
• We invite you to join the 4th grade when they host the Living Nativity on December 17th at 2:00 in the RES gym
• The Annual Blessing Store will be open Monday Dec 9th at RPS and Tues December 10th at RES. The store gives students a chance to purchase inexpensive, fun gifts for their family and friends. We are accepting any donations to be used at the store prior to those dates. Please be watching for a signup genius to gather all the volunteers needed to help us run the store and keep this wonderful tradition alive.
• All School Mass Days the week of Dec. 9-13 will be on Monday, Dec. 9 for the Holy Day of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.  RPS students will be at St. Mary’s and RES will attend at Sacred Heart.  Both at 12:10pm

6-12 Grade

• A reminder there is no school this Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving Break.
• Congratulations to Brody Weinmeister for his principal appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.
• Congratulations to the following students for being selected for the North Area Honor Band: Leah Carda, Ben Goebel Elizabeth Lohman, Caiden Siebert, and Jayda Siebert.
• We will be having Holy Day Mass on December 9th, MS will go to Sacred Heart and HS will go to St. Mary’s – they will be transported by bus. Mass is at 12:10pm and we will be returning to school.
• MS students will have Confessions on December 3rd, and HS students will have Confessions on December 11th for Advent.

You are invited to attend the Booster Club “ Bash for Band” event on Sat. Dec. 7.  Proceeds will help support the new band uniform effort.  Your $60 ticket gets you dinner, drinks, and entry into a drawing for $1,000.  Call 605-226-2100 to get your tickets or simply make a donation to the effort if you can’t attend.

Preschool to 5th grade:

• There will be NO CavClub on Wednesday, November 27th. All students will be dismissed at 1:00.
• Thank you for your tremendous support of our food drives at RPS and RES, we exceeded our expectations for donations. A beautiful gift to our food pantries at St. Mary's and Sacred Heart.
• Please send hats and gloves to school with your students. All students go outside for recess unless the temperature or wind chill is zero or below.
• Blessing Store - December 9th at RPS and December 10th at RES. Watch for a sign up genius coming out later this week. The Blessing Store is a pop up shop featuring small gifts that students can purchase at a low cost for their loved ones.

• 4th Grade Living Nativity - Tuesday, December 17th

6-12th grade:

• Congratulations to the Roncalli Oral Interp team for placing 2nd at Regions (only 1 point behind Great Plains Lutheran...)  Advancing to State OI in December will be Anya Unser in Serious, Emily Enga in Humor, Millie Duncan in Storytelling; and the Readers Theater of Lucy Gutenkauf, Anya Unser, and Millie Duncan. Emily Enga was chosen as alternate in Non-Original Oratory. Also earning points for the team were Noah Hoerth in Poetry and the Duo of Anya and Lucy.
• The students are doing a good job with the dress code. However, we are starting to see pants that are not quite dress code, they are skinny legged of a stretchy type material (a jegging) and many have patch pockets. Here is what the pants should be:
  • Pants: Any navy or khaki unmarked uniform dress pant. Purchased through Donalds Uniform or other vendors. They cannot have outside pockets and excludes colored denim, skinny legged or cargo style pants. • Congratulations to Emily Enga, who won Junior Miss Aberdeen 2025 & Ella Feickert, who won Junior Miss Congeniality 2025. Emily will now represent Aberdeen in the Snow Queen contest in January. Great job, ladies!
