7TH GRADE ART OBJECTIVES:
To introduce and reinforce understanding of the Elements of Art (line, shape, space, value, texture, and color) and the Principles of Design (balance, contrast, rhythm, repetition, unity, variety, emphasis, movement, and proportion) through examining and creating a wide variety of art forms.
8TH GRADE ART OBJECTIVES:
To review art elements and principles of design while familiarizing students with the many ways art touches our lives, and the many art careers, through looking, discussing, and creating.

ART I OBJECTIVES:
To build confidence in seeing and drawing skills, to understand and use color theory, to study culture and the connections  between art from Cave to Impressionism, and to learn how to use a wide variety of media and methods.

ART II OBJECTIVES:
To use the skills and knowledge gained in art I to develop a personal style, to explore choices of media, and to gain experience in creative problem solving.

       Read paragraphs 2501 and 2513 of The Catechism of the Catholic Church regarding art.
ART ROOM PROCEDURES:

Enter room quietly and promptly prepare to begin.
Have a pencil in class at all times.
Respect others and their property.
No food or beverages, other than water, allowed.
Use the entire class time productively.
Clean your workspace and tools, and to put them away properly.
