| The High School Concert Band begins its rehearsals in mid-November. All band members in grades 9-12 participate in this group. |
| We perform for three concerts: Christmas Concert, Music In Our Schools Concert, and Pops Concert. A challenging variety of literature is prepared for each concert. |
| We also participate in two regional contests. In January, all members prepare solos and/or small ensembles, and in early February, those musical selections are performed at the Region IV Small Group Music Contest at Northern State University. Following this contest, we begin preparations for the Region IV Large Group Music Contest. The entire concert band performs the music that was prepared for the Music In Our Schools Concert. The band members have earned numerous superior and excellent ratings over the years. Well done!! |
