I was born in Cherokee, IA to Randy and Keva Briese. Two years later my great little sister, Lynnsey, was born in Huron, SD. We soon moved to Pierre, where I spent the majority of my life. Currently my father lives in Sioux City, IA and works for Dakotaland Autoglass Inc. My mother lives and works in Orange City, IA (Home of the Tulip Festival, Third weekend every May) and works as a Special Education teacher at MOC-FV Junior/Senior High School. And my sister is the Photo Department Manager at the Super Wal-Mart in LeMars, IA ("Ice Cream Capitol of the World").
I graduated from T.F. Riggs High School in Pierre in May of 1999, GO GOVS!! From there I attended Northern State University, GO WOLVES!! I graduated with a major in Secondary Education in Biology and minors in Chemistry, Coaching, and Electronic Learning. As an undergraduate at NSU played football for the Wolves four years for and served as an Assistant Football coach for a year.
I continued my education to receive a Master's Degree in Education & Coaching and spent 2 years as a Graduate Student at NSU. During this time I worked in the School of Education Department, here I placed Sophomore and Junior Field Experience Students and supervised them in the classroom. I also continued to serve as an Assistant Football coach for the Wolves for those 2 years.
Although this may only be my second year as a teacher here at Roncalli High School, I am no stranger to these halls. I completed both my Junior Field and Student-Teaching experiences here under Mrs. Patty Martin and Dr. Stephanie Kawamara in Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Chemistry.
In my second year here at Roncalli I will be teaching Chemistry, Physics, and College Biology 151 & 153. Along with continuing to serve as Assistant Football Coach I will also be taking over as Head Wrestling Coach for the Cavaliers. GO CAVS!!
When I am not in school I enjoy spending time with my family, hunting, and playing Rugby with the NSU Outlawz. I also love to spend part of my summers up in Egegik, Alaska gill net fishing for the great Sockeye Salmon.

Favorite Albert Einstein Quotes:
"Every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life are based on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving."
"Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love. How on earth can you explain in terms of chemistry and physics so important a biological phenomenon as first love? Put your hand on a stove for a minute and it seems like an hour. Sit with that special girl for an hour and it seems like a minute. That's relativity."
"I never think of the future - it comes soon enough."
"Imagination is more important than knowledge..."
